What a great response to my hasty journal entry! Thank you to the members that recently submitted some fantastic photos to our City of Winnipeg collection.

Within minutes of submitting, the cityofwinnipeg inbox filled up with instant favourites. Unfortunately there is no way for us to prevent people from adding favourites to this site. (Unless there is a way, and I don't know. Please let us know otherwise!) However, congratulations to the artists on such beautiful photos and paintings of things around Winnipeg!

Weee! A Winnipeg journal/club! To prove I'm a ';Pegger: I drink slurpees in winter, I fondly call my hometown "Winterpeg, ManiSnowba", I know the "provincial bird"- the mosquito! My buddies and I joke about the "mosquito swatting dance" (points off for plunking a city in the middle of a flood-plain, next to swampland), and my favourite places in the city are Osborne Village, the Hotel Fort Garry and the Forks Market. Well, there's the Zoo, too- they have some fun metal bands playing there all the time... :D

So, can I join yer club? *chuckles* You've been on my watch list for a while (no worries, I'll send you a note)...
